Summerleas Farm

This early 1800’s farm estate in Orange, Virginia is currently used as a retreat and game hunting reserve. Design work here included extensive renovation plans for the main house, remodeling a tenant cottage for handicap accessibility, designing a pool with decorative paving and trellises, and a new pool house. The pool house was created reusing an 1820’s brick summer kitchen building and a 1930’s shed that had been moved to this location. The light and airy gathering room is in the frame section and the supporting new kitchen and bathrooms are in the solid masonry portion.
